Every wedding I photograph leaves a mark on my heart in some way, but Grishma and Safal’s day was one I’ll truly never forget. It was my first ever Hindu wedding, a ceremony unlike any I had ever photographed before… and it was nothing short of breathtaking from start to finish.
Their celebration took place inside a Hindu temple, surrounded by culture, color, and a sense of sacred tradition that immediately filled the room. There were many new customs and rules that I got to respectfully learn about and follow, which made the experience all the more meaningful.
Grishma was an absolutely stunning bride, dressed in vibrant red, her look complete with intricate henna designs, dazzling jewelry, and the traditional powders and adornments that brought her whole look to life. Every detail felt so intentional and symbolic. The ceremony itself was beautifully long and layered, full of rituals that represented love, unity, and family.
After the temple ceremony, we all made our way to the Botanical Gardens in Fayetteville… and wow. It’s hard to even describe how magical that place is. Everywhere you turned, you were surrounded by flowers… a full 360 view of colors and textures. It was the perfect backdrop for their bride and groom portraits. The mix of vibrant blooms and the couple’s joyful energy made every frame come alive.
Grishma and Safal’s wedding reminded me of why I love what I do… not just documenting love stories, but getting to experience different cultures, traditions, and ways that people celebrate love around the world.
